Steamed Vegetables
Servings: 2-4
Time: 15-25 minutes
Ingredients
1-2 lbs vegetables cut into bite sized pieces
broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini squash, asparagus, carrots, green beans, bell pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Add 1-2 inches of water to a pot
Place a steamer basket into pot, making sure the water stays under the basket
Bring water to a boil
Add vegetables to steamer basket, cover the pot, and reduce heat to medium
Check vegetables after a few minutes. Tender vegetables cook faster than harder ones
Vegetables are done when the thickest parts can be pierced with a fork
Add salt and pepper to taste
